1 Now when the Pharisees and some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem gathered around him,
2 they noticed that some of his disciples were eating with defiled hands, that is, without washing them.
Prayer Focus: The disciples were not washing their hands before they ate. Yikes! When I read that, I’m right there with the Pharisees. You have to wash your hands before you eat. We made a big deal about that with our children. Throughout the pandemic, we’ve learned the importance of washing our hands for 20 seconds. In addition, I carry hand sanitizer with me almost everywhere I go. I know that Jesus is going somewhere else with this story, but for now – Wash your hands! Pray that we might take all the precautions (especially vaccinations) we can to remain safe and healthy.
