4 Now the word of the Lord came to me saying,
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Prayer Focus: This week in our daily devotions we are preparing for Youth Sunday as our youth will lead both worship services this coming Sunday. The theme they have chosen, from the Montreat Youth Conference, is “God calls us to Reconnect.” We begin this week with the call story of the prophet Jeremiah. As it is recorded for us, the call to Jeremiah comes without warning and yet speaks a word about how God had chosen this path for Jeremiah before he was even born. Do you think God determined a plan or a direction for your life long before you were formed in the womb? If so, how easy has it been to see that path? I know that God has a plan for you. Pray that you might embrace God’s call for you today in new and deeper ways.
