Friday, September 9: Scripture – 1 Timothy 1:12-14
12 I am grateful to Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because he considered me faithful and appointed me to his service,
13 even though I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and a man of violence. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief,
14 and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
Prayer Focus: In the devotions this week we have been praying for mercy, forgiveness, and a transformed heart with Psalm 51. Today we move to 1 Timothy and see the outcome of this gift from God. We have received mercy and grace and as a result we are appointed to service. Pray that the grace of our Lord will overflow from you with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
