Scripture – Lamentations 3:24 – “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” 

Prayer Focus: Where we place our hope has implications for how we live our lives.  We treat our neighbors, our planet, and ourselves differently if we hope in the Lord than if we place our hope in the financial market or a politician.  Putting our hope in the Lord means that no matter what is going on in our lives or the world around us, we can treat others with compassion and mercy, because the Lord’s mercies never end.  Pray today that we as individuals, and as the church, might live in ways that reflect our hope in the Lord.
