12 For I know how many are your transgressions
and how great are your sins—
you who afflict the righteous, who take a bribe
and push aside the needy in the gate.
13 Therefore the prudent will keep silent in such a time,
for it is an evil time.
Prayer Focus: Amos continues to point out the sins of those with wealth and privilege in his society. In fact, their transgressions are “many” and their sins are “great.” Pray that you might keep silent instead of boasting. Pray that you might confess your sins to God and seek to live in new and faithful ways.
