13 We also constantly give thanks to God for this, that when you received the word of God that you heard from us you accepted it not as a human word but as what it really is, God’s word, which is also at work in you believers.
Prayer Focus: Perhaps the “life worthy of God” that we considered yesterday is a life in which the word of God is at work in us as believers. A word that is not just a human word, but a word of grace, hope, love, and redemption that transforms our life. Is this what we see in our beloved saints? Those who have allowed the word of God to work in and on them until we can all see something different and new, something we long to have in our own lives? Pray that you might receive and accept the word of God and that you’ll let it work in you.
