Prayer Focus: I am reminded by the word “Selah” in our text for today of the importance of a brief pause. That seems to be what that term would have meant for the Israelites as they sang these songs. Let’s take a brief pause and just enjoy the music for a moment. In the midst of the many challenges and important choices facing our world today, take a brief pause. Receive a blessing from the Lord. Give thanks for all those in the company of the faithful who, having lived this life in faith, now sing their eternal songs.
