1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb
2 through the middle of the street of the city. On either side of the river is the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month, and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
Prayer Focus: We continue with another look at this final vision as the angel shows the apostle the river of life. This river flows from the throne of God and brings the water of life to trees which produce fruit all year, as well as leaves that are for the healing of the nations. Often in scripture we find the waters of life connected with the Holy Spirit. So, perhaps we can see this water in John’s vision as the Spirit’s presence in the new Jerusalem. Pray that the Spirit may flow with the water of life today. Pray that the Spirit might bring healing to the nations today.
