Friday, March 18: Scripture – 1 John 3:9-10
9 Those who have been born of God do not sin, because God’s seed abides in them; they cannot sin, because they have been born of God.
10 The children of God and the children of the devil are revealed in this way: all who do not do what is right are not from God, nor are those who do not love their brothers and sisters.
Prayer Focus: The proof is in the pudding, as they say. The children of God and the children of the devil are revealed in this way. If we do not do what is right or love our brothers and sisters it is hard to say that we are children of God. And yet, remember the beginning of this week – see what love the Father has given us, that we might be called children of God; and that is what we are. Be who you are! Because God first loved us we are called children of God. Pray that you might live as a child of God today – do what is right and love your brothers and sisters.
