his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

Prayer Focus: With the focus on lament this week, almost forgotten in the midst of this third chapter, are the verses which inspired our hymn for this week, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning, great is your faithfulness.” As the poet remembers not merely her circumstances, but God’s faithfulness, mercy, and love, there is hope. Hope that the present will not determine the future, because God holds the future. Pray that you might remember the faithfulness of God today and know hope.
