Prayer Focus: These verses contain perhaps a familiar image that is often lifted out of this chapter. Be doers of the word and not merely hearers. The words God implants within us should impact how we live our lives. That’s a common understanding for us as Presbyterians. However, we rarely seem to agree on exactly what that live-altering impact is supposed to be. Don’t forget what you’ve heard the moment you leave worship on Sunday. Don’t forget what you’ve read as soon as you scroll to the next story on Facebook. Pray that you might remember and that you might live the Word today.
