Scripture – Acts 9:15-16

15 But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is an instrument whom I have chosen to bring my name before gentiles and kings and before the people of Israel; 16 I myself will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.”   

Prayer Focus: The Lord provides Ananias assurance that Saul will be an instrument for the Lord. God has big plans for him, but these plans will also include suffering. So often we believe that following God’s design and plan will bring an easy road. And yet, time and time again in scripture we see that the Lord’s call includes suffering. Are you willing to suffer for God’s glory? Pray that you might take the risk to follow the Lord, even when that way is difficult.
