“Joram son of Ahab became king of Israel in Samaria in the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and he reigned twelve years. He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, but not as his father and mother had done. He got rid of the sacred stone of Baal that his father had done. Nevertheless he clung to the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit; he did not turn away from them.”
2 Kings 3:1-3
Sin and evil are terrible things.
It was certainly no different with the Kings.
Unity’s class hasn’t been around that long,
But we’ve tried to do right and eliminate wrong.
Evil and sin are topics we discuss.
Being kind to others is important to us.
With God’s help and Jesus as our guide,
Evil and sin will no longer abide.
Prayer: Dear God, you have provided excellent teachers to our Unity class for decades. We thank you for your love and guidance as we strive to follow your path. In Jesus’s name we pray, Amen
