4 Again I will build you, and you shall be built,
O virgin Israel!
Again you shall adorn yourself with your tambourines
and go forth in the dance of the merrymakers.
Prayer Focus: One of the places in the biblical story where we hear about tambourines and dancing was with Miriam after the Israelites had crossed the Red Sea. Pharaoh’s army had been washed away when the waters of the sea returned. Seeing the deliverance God provided, Mariam begins to sing and dance. God is promising a new exodus, a new opportunity for deliverance, a song of freedom. Pray that you might be willing to join the song and the dance today. Pray that you might work for a community that is built with God’s design and marked with the dance of the merrymakers.
