Prayer Focus: How would you feel if God suddenly began to speak to you, and warned you to brace yourself because God wants some answers from you? I imagine the feeling I had standing in front of my teacher when I forgot my homework, except it would be that feeling multiplied exponentially. Job is probably doing well just to say upright as he is confronted by God’s reply to him. It’s difficult to feel ourselves being humbled, in fact, we would probably say it doesn’t feel good at all. But growth and good can come from these humbling moments. Pray today that when confronted with humility, you might embrace it and learn from it.
