8 A highway shall be there,
and it shall be called the Holy Way;
the unclean shall not travel on it,
but it shall be for God’s people;
no traveler, not even fools, shall go astray.
Prayer Focus: A highway shall appear in the desert and it shall be called the Holy Way. Crossing the desert by foot at any time, but especially in Isaiah’s day, would have been a dangerous endeavor. The land was not level or smooth. It was easy to become lost or distressed. But the Lord is making a way for God’s people. Not even fools will be able to get lost on this Holy Way. Pray for those seeking the way of the Lord. Pray that you might continue or begin again to walk with the Lord today.
