Prayer Focus: The Rev. Dr. Brian Blount says in his commentary on Revelation, “This heavenly council models the ethic that the throne room images: all glory is due to God.” The elders, who are in leadership positions, are all facing the throne, meaning, there is no throne higher than God’s throne. There is no one worthy to be praised like God. Perhaps this might lead us to ask ourselves where our attention is turned to currently? Pray today that your life might be oriented towards God, instead of all that seeks to distract you.
