3 Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.
Prayer Focus: Not only are the disciples overcome with a sound and feel of wind, they also see divided tongues, as of fire, resting on each of them. This Pentecost morning is a full sensory experience – plus they begin to speak in other languages. The Spirit not only overwhelms them, the Spirit empowers them to do something they were unable to do before. Often we think of “graduation” as the end of a journey, but what if it is the beginning of something you’ve never done before? Pray for the power and the ability of the Spirit to begin something new today.
