24 “But in those days, after that suffering,
the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light,
25 and the stars will be falling from heaven,
and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.
26 “Then they will see ‘the Son of Man coming in clouds’ with great power and glory. 27 Then he will send out the angels and gather the elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.
Prayer Focus: This discourse on the end times began with the disciples asking for a sign to know when all these things were to take place. Here Jesus reminds them that they do not need a sign. When the end comes, all of creation will know it. The sun, the moon, the stars, and the powers will be shaken. The Son of Man will come in the clouds with great power and glory. You won’t miss it! Pray that as you work for and with the Kingdom now, you’ll be prepared for when it comes in fullness.
