13 Keep awake, therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.
Prayer Focus: The interpretation of the parable is to keep awake. This seems to be an odd lesson as all of the young women fell asleep. The problem was not their sleeping, it was the failure to prepare for the delay. We do not know the day nor the hour, but we can always be prepared. As we elect new classes of elders and deacons today at the congregational meeting, pray that those called to lead us will help us to be prepared for ministry today and until the Lord returns.
