Wednesday, October 11: Scripture – 1 John 1:8-9
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Prayer Focus: Sometimes the hardest truth to share is admitting our own sins and faults. We tend to gloss over our own failings, exaggerate our triumphs, and generally deceive ourselves. When we do so, the truth is not in us. Confession of our sins not only leads to forgiveness, but also to restoration of true relationship with God and with one another. Tell the truth today – confess and repent to the Lord.
