Monday, September 25: Scripture – Isaiah 40:6-8
6 A voice says, “Cry out!” And I said, “What shall I cry? All flesh is grass; their constancy is like the flower of the field.
7 The grass withers; the flower fades, [[when the breath of the Lord blows upon it; surely the people are grass.
8 The grass withers; the flower fades,]] but the word of our God will stand forever.
Prayer Focus: As we continue with Unity’s annual vision of ministry this week, we focus on how we are called to witness to Jesus Christ by “Proclaiming, through our words and actions, God’s good news.” This is the call to cry out that the prophet Isaiah receives. Flesh is grass, grass withers, flowers fade, but the word of our God will stand forever. In the midst of all the changing words in our world, pray that you might be a witness to the Word that stands forever.
