Tuesday, September 19: Scripture – Genesis 1:2-3
2 The earth was complete chaos, and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters.
3 Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
Prayer Focus: In the midst of chaos, God speaks. God begins to tell God’s story with an invitation. Remember that God creates not by command, but by granting permission. “Let there be …” is an invitation to existence. God invites the light into the world. God continues to invite light to be present in the world. Give thanks for the light that God brings to your life and to our world today.
