Saturday, September 16: Scripture – Acts 11:27-28
27 At that time prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.
28 One of them named Agabus stood up and predicted by the Spirit that there would be a severe famine over all the world, and this took place during the reign of Claudius.
Prayer Focus: There are still prophets in the Book of Acts and we hear that one of them from Jerusalem predicts by the Spirit that there will be a severe famine. Note that the church is not immune to the physical challenges of the world – including famine. Recognize that you will walk through challenges in this life, even and especially as a follower of Jesus. Pray that you might hear the voice of the Spirit to help you identify these times of challenge and to gather others who will walk through the darkest valleys with you.
