Sunday, August 20: Scripture – Luke 24:33-35
33 That same hour they got up and returned to Jerusalem, and they found the eleven and their companions gathered together.
34 They were saying, “The Lord has risen indeed, and he has appeared to Simon!”
35 Then they told what had happened on the road and how he had been made known to them in the breaking of the bread.
Prayer Focus: Despite it being after dinner, the two disciples run back to Jerusalem to tell the eleven and their companions that the Lord has risen indeed. This is a day of resurrection. Jesus appears to us even now. Give thanks for this good news, share how you have met Jesus today with someone who needs to hear some good news.
