Thursday, August 17: Scripture – Luke 24:28-29
28 As they came near the village to which they were going, he walked ahead as if he were going on.
29 But they urged him strongly, saying, “Stay with us, because it is almost evening and the day is now nearly over.” So he went in to stay with them.
Prayer Focus: They came near Emmaus and Jesus intends to walk ahead of them. I wonder where he was going? But the two disciples strongly urged the stranger who had joined them to stop and stay with them. Jesus agrees. Pray for Jesus to come near and stay with you today. Do not let a stranger walk by or away without speaking with them. Pray for the words to build a new relationship today.
