Wednesday, August 16: Scripture – Luke 24:25-27
25 Then he said to them, “Oh, how foolish you are and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have declared!
26 Was it not necessary that the Messiah should suffer these things and then enter into his glory?”
27 Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them the things about himself in all the scriptures.
Prayer Focus: Jesus hears their account of his final week and declares them foolish. They are foolish not for failing to believe, but for failing to understand how all that happened was declared by the prophets and explained in the scriptures. Pray that you might return to the scriptures today. Do not let study of the bible be something you put behind when you graduated from high school. Dig in once again to God’s word for God has something to tell you today!
