Saturday, August 5: Scripture – Isaiah 55:8-9
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Prayer Focus: Even though God is near enough to hear us as we pray, God is not merely at our beck and call. God’s thoughts are not our thoughts. God’s ways are not our ways. As the heavens are separated from the earth, so are God’s ways higher than our ways. Embrace God’s mystery today. Pray that you might trust even more deeply in the ways of the Lord for your life and for our church.
