You show me the path of life.
In your presence there is fullness of joy;
in your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Psalm 16:11
I love to watch children enter the Narthex for worship. They are often uninhibited and demonstrate the true joy that comes with worshipping God. I have seen children dance, skip and run into worship and often with a huge smile on their face. Children remind us to be spontaneous in our expression of joy.1 A joyful heart leads to gratitude and praise. I know that my prayers more often begin with a petition for myself or someone else rather than with gratitude and praise. I am a child of God and so are you. That is good news! Today, out of joy for the grace extended to you through Jesus Christ, praise God with a joyful heart. You might even dance, skip or run while you pray!
