Monday, April 17: Scripture – Acts 2:36-37
36 “Therefore let the entire house of Israel know with certainty that God has made him both Lord and Messiah, this Jesus whom you crucified.”
37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?”
Prayer Focus: What Jesus promised the disciples on the night of his resurrection is given on Pentecost. The Spirit comes and empowers Peter to interpret the gift of the Spirit and to proclaim the gospel. The gathered crowd hears this and is cut to the heart. They are moved deep within themselves and so they ask, “What should we do?” Pray that you might be cut to the heart today by the gospel. Pray that you might begin anew to live in light of Jesus’ resurrection!
