Friday, March 31: Scripture – Matthew 21:6-8
6 The disciples went and did as Jesus had directed them;
7 they brought the donkey and the colt and put their cloaks on them, and he sat on them.
8 A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
Prayer Focus: A large crowd spread their cloaks on the road and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. Jesus sat on the disciples’ cloaks on the donkey and the colt (not quite sure how he sat on both of them?). The disciples and the crowds are doing their best to prepare the way for the Messiah. How are you preparing the way for the Messiah today? Sometimes we just think about that at Christmas with John the Baptist, but as we prepare to enter Holy Week the question is the same. Pray that you might prepare your heart and your mind and your entire life to welcome Jesus today.
