Monday, February 27: Scripture – Genesis 9:8-10
8 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him,
9 “As for me, I am establishing my covenant with you and your descendants after you
10 and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the domestic animals, and every animal of the earth with you, as many as came out of the ark.
Prayer Focus: This week we begin a four-week Lenten and Stewardship series entitled, “Step Up and Step Out.” We begin with a text that is literally what happens to Noah and his family after they “step out” of the ark following the flood. The same God who put them in the ark is still with them as they emerge from the ark. God speaks to them and makes a promise, a covenant. And not just with them, but with every living creature that is with them. As we begin this Lenten and Stewardship journey, pray that you might listen for the voice of the Lord. For God is still speaking to you and to us.
