Sunday, February 26: Scripture – Genesis 3:11-13
11 He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?”
12 The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate.”
13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this that you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent tricked me, and I ate.”
Prayer Focus: The first example of “pass of the buck” is the man blames the woman (and not just any woman, but the woman that God “gave to be with him” so maybe this is really all God’s fault!). The woman blames the serpent, but she admits that she ate. Do not blame others for your sins and failings today. Take responsibility and accountability for the things you have done and the things that you have left undone. Come before the Lord of mercy and receive forgiveness today!
