Wednesday, February 22: Scripture – Genesis 3:4-5
4 But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not die,
5 for God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Prayer Focus: The serpent is more than ready to debate what God has said. The woman said they will die if they touch the fruit. The serpent says, no that’s not true, instead of dying you will be like God. Now that is a stark difference, right? Be like God or die – seems like an easy choice. But a third choice is still available. Don’t eat the fruit. Obey what the Lord said. Don’t die and live as the unique and wonderful creature God created you to be. Pray that you might have eyes to see and ears to hear a way through the falsehoods, so that you might follow the Lord today.
