Sunday, January 29: Scripture – Micah 6:8
8 He has told you, O mortal, what is good,
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice and to love kindness
and to walk humbly with your God?
Prayer Focus: A third voice, most likely the voice of the prophet, joins our text today. While the Lord is seeking judgment in a case against God’s people and God’s people are trying to figure out how to come before the Lord, the prophet reminds them that the answer is already known. We know what is good and what is required: do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God. Notice that these are not material items we are required to bring, they are actions by which we join the work of God in the world. We are before the Lord as a way of life. Pray that you might do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with your God today.
