Friday, January 20: Scripture – Acts 10:36-38
36 You know the message he sent to the people of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ—he is Lord of all.
37 That message spread throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John announced:
38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power; how he went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
Prayer Focus: If you had to summarize Jesus’ life and ministry in a few sentences, what would you say? Would you add anything to what Peter shares with Cornelius and his household? Jesus preached peace, anointed by the Holy Spirit and power he went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed. If that’s how you would talk about Jesus’ life and ministry, what does it mean for you to follow Jesus?
