Thursday, January 12: Scripture – 1 Corinthians 1:4-7
4 I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that has been given you in Christ Jesus,
5 for in every way you have been enriched in him, in speech and knowledge of every kind—
6 just as the testimony of Christ has been strengthened among you—
7 so that you are not lacking in any gift as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Prayer Focus: So often in the church and in our personal lives we operate with the assumption of scarcity. We fear there is not enough to survive, to try something new, or to be sustainable for the future. Paul reminds us that God provides enough. The testimony of Christ has been strengthened among you so that you are not lacking in any gift as you wait. All that we need, God provides. We are not lacking in any gift! Give thanks for God’s provision today and seek to engage the world with confidence instead of fear.
