Friday, December 30: Scripture – Revelation 21:2-3
2 And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them and be their God:
Prayer Focus: On Christmas Eve we heard a text about God moving into the neighborhood in Jesus. Here in Revelation we again hear that God will dwell with the people, God will tabernacle with them, God will meet them here in this new and holy city. God’s home will be with us. Pray for your own home today. Walk through the rooms of your home and pray that it may be God’s home. Pray for all the people who live in your home. Pray that God might dwell with and within them in this new year ahead. Pray that God may be with them always and that they will be God’s people.
