7 All who saw it began to grumble and said, “He has gone to be the guest of one who is a sinner.”
Prayer Focus: When Jesus is welcomed into the home of this rich, chief tax collector; this public enemy number 1; this one who profits from a corrupt and unjust system; everyone begins to grumble. Jesus is supposed to be pure and holy and he’s not only speaking to, but eating with one who is a sinner. Who are the sinners on your list that surely Jesus would not be caught dead around? Pray that you might open your heart and your mind today to be surprised by how amazing and wide grace truly is!
