Monday, October 17: Scripture – 2 Timothy 4:6
6 As for me, I am already being poured out as a libation, and the time of my departure has come.
Prayer Focus: As Paul concludes his second letter to Timothy, it feels as if he is reflecting on his own impending death. He claims that he is already being poured out as a libation. No matter your age, in what ways do you feel that you are being poured out? Is this emptying of yourself a sacrifice of faithfulness to God? Is it the passing on of love, wisdom, and care to the next generation? How are you being emptied? Pray that this is not exhaustion, but a step of faith as you give yourself to others.
