Monday, August 15: Scripture – Isaiah 43:18-19
18 Do not remember the former things or consider the things of old.
19 I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth; do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Prayer Focus: This coming Sunday (August 21) will be Youth Sunday and so our texts this week come from their summer serving learning trip to Asheville Youth Mission and their Youth Conference trip in Montreat. We begin with these two verses from Isaiah. Our youth are looking forward to the new things that God is doing in this world. If God can do things that seem impossible like a highway in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, what do you think God might do in our church and community? Our youth are eager to find out. Pray for them as they perceive the new thing God is doing.
