Sunday, July 17: Scripture – Mark 1:11
11 And a voice came from the heavens, “You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased.”
Prayer Focus: As the Spirit descends like a dove, a voice also comes from the heavens, “You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased.” Pray that you might hear that voice as well today. I suspect that you hear a variety of voices because we all have “tapes” from parents, bosses, co-workers, family members, and friends that play in our heads. These voices either affirm us or tear us down. Pray that you might hear the voice of the Lord above them all, open your ears to hear the Holy Spirit speak, “You are beloved. With you I am well pleased.”
