Wednesday, July 6: Scripture – Revelation 22:1-2
1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb
2 through the middle of the street of the city. On either side of the river is the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month, and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
Prayer Focus: Our second scripture text for this week comes from the final chapter of the Revelation to John. In this final vision, the angel shows the apostle the river of life. This river flows from the throne of God and brings the water of life to trees which produce fruit all year as well as leaves that are for the healing of the nations. If the water of life that Jesus promised in the Gospel of John, then perhaps we can see this water as the Spirit’s presence in John’s vision of the new Jerusalem. Pray that the Spirit may flow with the water of life today. Pray that the Spirit might bring healing for the nations today.
