Thursday, June 16; Scripture – John 16:6-7
6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your hearts.
7 Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you, but if I go, I will send him to you.
Prayer Focus: Have you ever had to do something very hard, knowing that the hard thing would lead to something wonderful? Letting someone you love go might be one of those hard things. If Jesus does not go away, the Advocate will not come. If he goes, Jesus will send the Advocate to you. Pray for the courage to face the hard thing, knowing that you will be empowered by the Spirit of God as a result. Pray that you might let go and begin again.
