Wednesday, June 15: Scripture – John 16:4b-5
“I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you.
5 But now I am going to him who sent me, yet none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’
Prayer Focus: We learn more and more as we follow Jesus. More is revealed to us so that we might continue to live faithfully even when Jesus is not physically present with us. Jesus told the disciples back in chapter 14 that he was going to the Father. Now he reminds them that he is going to the one who sent him. Because he told them before, no one asks “Where are you going?” Are you going with Jesus today? Are you drawing near to the Father? Pray that you might go all the way with Jesus, even when the way becomes difficult and the risk of extending Christ’s love to everyone becomes real.
