Friday, June 10: Scripture – Ezekiel 37:9-10
9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, mortal, and say to the breath: Thus says the Lord God: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.”
10 I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood on their feet, a vast multitude.
Prayer Focus: The first time the prophet speaks to the bones and they come together with a promise that breath is on the way. Now the Lord tells the prophet to speak to the breath, to the Spirit, to the winds themselves. The Lord has promised the breath and the Lord keeps his promises. The breath comes and the lifeless bodies live – a vast multitude! In this text, God is not just interested in bringing new life to a select few. God intends a vast multitude to live again. Pray for big dreams of new life for the world, for all those places that are dead and dry. Trust that God will do big things today!
