Saturday, June 4: Scripture – Acts 2:16-18
16 “No, this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel:
17 ‘In the last days it will be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even upon my slaves, both men and women, in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.
Prayer Focus: “I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh.” All peoples, all ages, all genders, all qualified by the Spirit to dream, to envision, and to speak up. That includes you. We are reminded this week that God’s Spirit has been poured out over each one of us. Each of us has gifts the Spirit has given us that allow us to share in God’s good work here on Earth. Perhaps you have the gift of baking cookies or being a good listener. Maybe you are good at building things, or you can make someone laugh. Whatever your gifts may be, pray that those gifts help you connect and care for your neighbors.
