41 As he came near and saw the city, he wept over it.
Prayer Focus: On our trip to the Middle East, as our bus approached Jerusalem via this route from Bethphage and Bethany, we stopped at the Mount of Olives. We disembarked and looked over the city of Jerusalem. This was the verse that came to mind. Jesus saw the city and he wept over it. He knew the city would not welcome peace when it arrived on a colt so many years ago. It continues to be a place of peace, unrest, and violence today. Pray that your heart may break today for the things that break God’s heart. Pray for peace.
