Monday, April 4: Scripture – Luke 19:28
28 After he had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.
Prayer Focus: Jesus is going up to Jerusalem. At the end of chapter 9 in the Gospel of Luke, we hear that Jesus has “set his face to go to Jerusalem.” Over the last ten chapters, Jesus has continued to teach and to heal, but Jerusalem and what awaits him there casts a shadow over the narrative. But now it is time. He finished teaching in Jericho and went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. Is there something waiting for you today that you would rather put off. A difficult conversation or visit or decision that you would rather not deal with? Pray that you might not delay any longer. Set your face, go on ahead, and go up to Jerusalem.
