Sunday, April 3: Scripture – Luke 15:31-32
31 Then the father said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.
32 But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has come to life; he was lost and has been found.’”
Prayer Focus: The story ends without resolution. Will the eldest son come into the party or remain outside stewing in the darkness? The father calls him “son” and reminds him that all he has is already his. Yet, when one lost has been found, when one dead comes to life, there is no other option than celebration. Pray that even during this Lenten season, you might know the joy of celebration for the Father’s beloved children include you and me.
